Animal Registration Prize Draw Terms and Conditions

If you'd like to enter the City of Swan's Animal Registration Prize Draw Competition ("Competition"), just register your animal for lifetime by 31 October 2017.

You could be one of 10lucky winners to share in a total prize of $1,000.

Conditions of Entry

  1. Instructions on how to enter and other details contained within promotional advertisements for the Competition form part of the Terms and Conditions.
  2. By entering the Competition, entrants agree to abide by the Terms and Conditions.
  3. The Terms and Conditions of the Competition are governed by the laws of the State of Western Australia.
  4. The competition is being run by the City of Swan, 2 Midland Square, Midland in the State of Western Australia, 6056 ("Swan").
  5. To enter the competition, the entrant must:
  6. Register their dog for lifetime with the City of Swan between 10 October 2017 and 31 October 2017;
  7. Pay their registrationby cash, cheque, credit card, online or postal order. Their entry will automatically be disqualified and ineligible, if their payment is dishonoured by the financial institution concerned for any reason.
  8. The Competition commences on 10 October 2017.
  9. The Competition closes at 11:59:59pm on 31 October 2017.
  10. Entry to the Competition is free. Entrants will be responsible for all costs associated with entering the competition, which may include the costs associated with accessing the internet.
  11. Subject to these Terms and Conditions, there is one entry per animal registration, that is one entry per separate animal registration that is paid for a lifetime registration.
  12. Staff employed by Swan and their immediate family members are eligible to enter the competition, provided that they satisfy all the entry criteria contained in the Terms and Conditions.
  13. There are 10prizes available. The total prize pool is valued at $1,000. Details of the prizes will be published along with these Terms and Conditions on Swan’s internet page: reserves the right to substitute an equivalent prize of equal or greater value for any prize. Prizes are not transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. Swan is neither responsible nor liable for any changes in the value of a prize occurring between the date of printing and the date the prize is claimed.
  14. 10 winners will be randomly drawn from a computer generated list of animal ownerswho have met the criteria in these Terms and Conditions. The draw will be open to the public and will be conducted at 10.00am on Friday 24th November 2017 at City of Swan administration building. An additional 5 reserve winners will be chosen who will be substituted in the order in which they are drawn for any winner whose payment is subsequently dishonoured.
  15. Swan reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers or otherwise interferes with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with the Terms and Conditions.
  16. Entries will only be validated once they have been received and receipted by Swan. Swan accepts no responsibility whatsoever for late, lost or misdirected entries, whatever the cause.

Conditions of Accepting a Prize

  1. Each of the 10 winning entrants will be given a prize of a $100 gift voucher for pet products.
  2. Swan accepts no responsibility and shall not be legally liable or responsible for any accident, loss, injury or damage to any individual or property, whether direct or indirect, whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise arising out of or in connection with the Competition of the prize, either during or after the competition.
  3. It is a condition of accepting the prize that a winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Swan in its absolute discretion.
  4. Swan accepts no responsibility for any tax implications (including any Fringe Benefits Tax) that may arise from the prize winnings of the Competition. You should seek independent, qualified financial advice about potential tax implications.
  5. Swan accepts no responsibility for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by website users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with, or utilised in this Competition or by any technical error that may occur in the course of the administration of the competition.
  6. Swan assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
  7. As a condition of accepting any prize, the winner must agree to be photographed, interviewed and/or filmed for use in any promotional, marketing or other creative initiative arranged by Swan or its agents. Swanshall be solely responsible for all marketing and editorial control.
  8. Swan reserves the right to cancel or terminate the competition if, for any reason beyond Swan’s control, the integrity of the competition or its fairness or security is compromised.
  9. Entry into the competition signifies acceptance of all conditions of entry. Acceptance of a prize signifies acceptance of the conditions of accepting a prize. Entrants are required to abide by the terms and conditions as presented.
  10. Personal information provided by an entrant to Swanfor the purpose of entering the Competition will be collected, used and disclosed in accordance with Swan's privacy statement.
  11. Personal information collected will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, loaned or otherwise disclosed to any third party other than in accordance with Swan's privacy statement and these terms and conditions.
