I would like to welcome all of the new studentswho have joined our family at Angel DeSouza’s School of Dance!This is going to be an exciting year filled with hot, new dance ideas and music.I amlooking forward to celebrating my20thyear anniversary with each and every one of you. I would like to welcome back my teachers:Amanda Cooper, Ashley Foote, Kelli Michaels, Kristy Crump, Ashlee Cliborne, Lori Cooperand Annie Gavino Kollman. We would like to welcome one new teacher that has joined our ADSD family, Marcia Evans-Burns. Let’s not forget to welcome our assistant teachers, Davianna O’Berry, Sarah Henderson and Hannah Ford. I am delighted to have Anna Ponder returning to assist in bookkeeping. Without them by my side, this dance year would not be possible.
Now for someadditional information…There is a payment slot /drop box located in the lobby for your convenience. This will allow accounting to post your check as soon as they are received. Please provide your child/children’s name in the memo section along with any additional information accounting may need in order to post the payment to your account correctly.DO NOT put cash payments in the slot. Pleasegive cash payments to Angel or Anna personally so that you can obtain a receipt.Accounting will not be responsible for lost cash payments without a receipt.Continue to check the waiting room for your monthly newsletter, which will contain important information.

WATER CARDS ARE BACK… We have water cards for sale for anyone interested.These cards will hold a monetary amount of $20.00. These cards can be used to purchase water at $1.00 each. Each time you purchase a bottle of water, your card will be punched. This will eliminate students being dropped off without money for water, etc. Waterwill be permitted in the dance rooms, but no other drinks will be allowed. Drinks other than water must remain in the waiting room. Please eat dinner or a snack before you arrive.
Reminder…YourSeptember payment(payment #2) is now due.Late fees will not apply for the month of September since class is not yet in session. As stated in your handbook, all payments are due on the 1st ofeach month. If payment is not receivedin full prior to the 10thof the month, a latefee will be added. As you know, costumes are not added into your monthly tuition. If you wish to pay for costumes in advance you may do so, but pleasenote costume paymentsMAY NOTbe included on the same check as your monthly tuition. Please understand that costume payments must be PAID IN FULL by November 1, 2012.
A few important policy reminders... Please dress your child appropriately. No T-shirts or sweatshirts are permitted in class. Dancewear is required! All studentsneed to bring dance bags in the classroom to shorten the time spent changing shoes and to provide more room for the parents in the waiting area.
PLEASE make sure that your child/children of all ages keep their cell phones put away during class time. Any cell phones that are out during class instruction will be confiscated and given back at the end of class.
Just a reminder... If you are in a Classical Ballet and/or Pointe class, you must dress in leotards and tights (ballet attire).Also, pleaseremember you are not to leave your child unattended longer than 15 minutes prior to or after their designated class time unless you have spoken with a staff member.My staffand I cannot be responsible for watching over your child/children as we are teaching classes at all times.
Iwill be having a new Zumbasession starting in November. If you are interested in taking this class pleasewrite your name and number in the sign up book located at the front desk (more information to follow).
October T-shirt SPECIAL!! Starting Monday, September 24th– and ending Saturday, October 6th, we will be taking orders for the ADSD t-shirts. They will be $12.00 each. This is a ONE TIME special – after that, they will be $15.00. Studio hoodies will go on sale Monday, October 8th – Monday October 22nd. Starting November 1st, studio sweat suits will go on sale.
COMPETITION INTEREST MEETING…For anyone interested in being a 2012/2013 member of DeSouza’s Diamonds Competition Team, please attend the meeting held Monday, October 1stat 8:15pm. This is an open meeting for anyone interested; this includes former members as well as new. We will discuss rules, commitments, etc.
CALLING ALL GOLFERS… The competition team is holding a Golf Tournament to raise funds for our competition team on Sunday October 21st at Prince George Golf Course, 9a.m. shotgun start!
