Overview

Cave Creek Wild West Days celebrates our western heritage with four days of non-stop family entertainment, mutton bustin’, live bull riding, bath tub races, mounted shooting, barrel racing, live country music, Miss Wild West Days, local celebrities from the Wild West, period vendors, an authentic cattle drive, western parade and various horse-related activities in the new Hogs ‘n Horses arena. It truly is … the best of the west.

Through our preservation of open spaces and the cowboy lifestyle, the Old West is reflected in the Cave Creek shops, restaurants, and art galleries – and in our residents. Cowboy hats and boots are for real here, multi-acre horse properties are plentiful and million dollar homes are far and wide.

Attendance – 20,000 in 2013

Year after year Wild West Days welcomes thousands of families, horse property owners, winter visitors, area ranchers and business execs who love the western lifestyle Cave Creek has to offer. These are sought-after consumers from affluent areas who spend with local businesses they trust.

Public Relations & Media

With an aggressive public relations campaign, our television coverage is always steady with live reports on all local network affiliates preceding the event. During last year’s shootout with the City of Scottsdale for the tag line, “The West’s Most Western Town”, we enjoyed coverage in the New York Times, LA Times, and the Chicago Tribune. It was fun, meanwhile we settled on the phrase, “Where the Wild West Lives.” … and it does!

All local newspapers, websites and magazines feature Wild West Days as a key event to attend. Once again WWD will be featured on the cover of Images AZ magazine as well as in special pull-out sections containing our event map and schedules in the City Sun Times and Sonoran News.

96.3 Real Country will be our media partner for the second year. A three week paid schedule will air as well as promotional announcements and live call-ins during the weekend.
