WEALTH OF THE BODY

An Experiential Workshop for Mental Health & Body Centered Professionals

Friday, February 23rd 6-9p.m. & Saturday February 24th 9:30-4:30 p.m.

We are an intensely alive energy field. True aliveness comes from within as a result of living in alignment, harmony and balance. Optimal health can be defined as Being in a state of fluidity or flow in thought, feeling, body and action.Being is felt. We restrict our flow when we live in conflict with our inner and outer self..We evolve through experience. Regardless of your modality; integrating the body into therapy offers a more present, holistic and integrative experience. Words do not teach. Your connection to yourself is the teacher. Dennis Eagan introducingYoga’s five elements of Samkhya with its ancient philosophy and Robin Pfeiffer introducingCore Energetics, a body oriented therapy rooted in Reich, Lowen and Pierrakosoffer options to cultivate inner awareness. Practitioners will have an opportunity to deepen their body self-awareness through guided facilitation.

In this workshop you will:

  • Receive general background information and suggested references & resources regarding the roots of Yoga and body oriented therapies.
  • Have direct experiences working with your body developing a deeper and more expansive inner awareness
  • Experience options for working with the body in various settings and to varying degrees
