AN ACT relating to the designation of the official state touring theatre of Kentucky.
WHEREAS, the Blue Apple Players has inspired generations of Kentuckians for over twenty-five years with its original educational musicals; and
WHEREAS, the award winning Blue Apple Players, as a touring company, has reached over three million Kentucky children, teachers, and parents from every Kentucky county; and
WHEREAS, the Blue Apple Players has over thirty-five original musicals on topics ranging from adaptations of traditional fairy tales to musicals relating to vital issues such as substance abuse or child exploitation have been published by the leading theatrical publishers and shared with communities throughout the United States; and
WHEREAS, the Blue Apple Players provide inspiring entertainment with each production reaching across social and geographic boundaries to ignite a child's imagination and teach them basic life lessons- the ABC's of Attitude, Behavior, and Character; and
WHEREAS, the Blue Apple Players is theatre that makes a difference;
NOW, THEREFORE,
Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Kentucky:

SECTION 1. A NEW SECTION OF KRS CHAPTER 2 IS CREATED TO READ AS FOLLOWS:
The Blue Apple Players is named and designated as the official state touring theatre of Kentucky.
