What you will do…

  1. Create a list of characters for your section. Discuss the character type for each character (dynamic, round, static, flat). Discuss the connection between characters in your section.
  2. Create a character trading card or FB profile for each character. Find a quote from your section that represents the essence of each character. (quiz 50 pts) (ELAGSE11RL3)
  3. Create a comic strip to discuss the plot in your section. (quiz 50 pts) (ELAGSE11RL1)
  4. Discuss themes in your section. Discuss how themes affect various characters. (quiz 50 pts) (ELAGSE11RL2)
  5. Create a list of 3-5 questions (for each character) that you would ask a character. Also provide an answer you think the character would give. Add commentary on why you would ask that question. Steer clear of simple “W” questions. (quiz 50 pts) (ELAGSE11RL3)
  6. Class presentation: Your group will provide a production of your act. You do not have to recreate the entire act. You must have a setting (with props), script with dialogue(typed up), dress to represent characters (this can be pre-recorded). (test 100 pts) (ELAGSE11SL2)
  7. Individual Grade: Write a one-page reflection on the quotebelow and how it reflects on the 1600s, 1950s, and today. Give specific examples. Use MLA format. (test 100 pts) (ELAGSE11W1)

The group can decide to split the assignments per members or all can do all parts. It is up to you how this assignment is completed. Please remember, though, that the ONLY part that is an individual grade is #7; everything else is a group grade so the work affects everyone’s grades.
