Global Read Aloud / Global Read Aloud gives you the opportunity to read a book with K-12 classes around the world. The books are read on a weekly timeline with assigned chapters to complete each week. Participants are given and create ways to connect during the 6 weeks that students are reading the books. Teachers can connect and sign up in a google doc, edmodo and through the site. It is an organic process. As the reading commences, projects are shared and students have the opportunity to post their projects, see what others think about the book and even create their own learning and share out. Teachers can set up Hangout/Skype visits to discuss the book. The authors usually participate through a video conference or Twitter Chat. The options are endless!
