Since 1933, Amateur Radio Relay League Field Day is the most popular and fun on-the-air radio event held annually in the US and Canada, visitors are welcome, and its all FREE! On the fourth weekend of June, more than 35,000 radio amateurs gather with their clubs, groups or simply with friends to operate from remote locations. The objective is to work as many stations as possible on any and all amateur bands, with certain exclusions, and to learn to operate in abnormal situations in less than optimal conditions, as might be found during emergencies. Field Day is an annual, nation-wide 24 hour event. Our Field Day will be held at the Ventura County Fire Department Regional Training Center, Camarillo Airport, Saturday June 27 11 AM thru Sunday June 28 11 AM. Our radio Club call sign is K6MEP.
The Regional Training Center is located along Las Posas Road immediately south of Fire Station 50, south of the 101 Freeway. Enter the Fire Station 50 access road at the traffic signal and make an immediate left into the dirt field. There you will see many wire antennas in the air, and we will be broadcasting to make hundreds of contacts all across the United States, Canada, and beyond. The event is free with plenty of free parking in the spacious parking areas. Please drive slowly on the dirt field. We have so much fun that it is difficult to stop on Sunday!

Come to our new Field Day location! For the first time Ventura County Amateur Radio Club is setting up at the County Fire RTC, Regional Training Center, Camarillo Airport. Enter at Fire Station 50 on Las Posas Road and immediately turn left into the large RTC dirt field. Please drive slowly. There you will find numerous wire antennas and radio station shelters. Please park in the marked parking area, sign our guest list, and visit with us.
