Purpose

To create a constructive and realistic 12-month action plan for your Alumni Association that will track improvement efforts and support implementation that increases the capacity and sustainability prospects of the organisationand the Alumni Association as a whole.

Directions

  1. Using this form as a template, create an Action Plan (your working plan) for each goal identified before and during the Alumni Association Capacity Building Workshop. Modify the form as needed to fit your organisation’s unique context within the Alumni Association.
  2. Upon returning back from Pretoria in February, distribute copies of the Action Plan to each officer or member of your leadership team/board.
  3. In an effort to transfer knowledge from the Workshop to each officer or member of your leadership team/board, discuss each goal of the work plan to seek consensus and support. Some areas of each Action Step may be slightly modified as a result of this consultation.
  4. Keep copies of the Action Plan handy to bring to meetings to review and update accordingly.
  5. Throughout the year you may decide to develop new Action Plans for new phases of your chapter’s outreach and engagement efforts.
