National Officers and Honors

·  Hosted Conclave in December of 1958 (it was voted at this conclave to replace a yearly winter Conclave with a Conclave every two years)

·  Dr. Aurelia Harris was Supreme 2nd Anti-Basileus from 1964-1967

·  Alpha Sigma Kudos performed award-winning talent presentation at 1999 Conclave in Milwaukee, WI, under sponsorship of Soror Linda Iglehart

·  Mr. Rashad Love received 2000 National Kudos Scholarship (a student at Southern University, Baton Rouge, LA)

·  Dorothy Scott was Supreme Tamias 2000-2004

·  Mr. Chancellor Jenkins received 2007 National Kudos Scholarship (a student at Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA)

·  Yvonne Johnson has been elected as Supreme Tamiouchos, 2007-2011

·  Dr. Yolanda Parker has been appointed as National KOT Chair, 2009-2013

·  Joyce Thomas has been appointed as National Anthropos Chair, 2009-2013

Regional Officers and Honors

·  Dr. Aurelia Harris was Member-at-Large for the Southern Region 1962-1963 and was the first Regional Director of the Southwest Region that originated in 1967 as an out-growth of the Southern Region. (Dr. Harris transferred from Beta Alpha chapter to Alpha Sigma chapter)

·  Dorothy Scott was Member-at-Large for Southwest Region, 1990-1995 and Regional Director for Southwest Region, 1995-1999

·  Yvonne Johnson was Regional Tamiouchos 1999-2003

·  Alpha Sigma received 3rd place for 2006 Activity Book

·  Yvonne Johnson was Anthropos Chair for Southwest Region, 2004-2007

·  Linda Iglehart was HUB Parents chair, 2004-2007

·  Alpha Sigma hosted the 42nd Southwest Regional Conference in 2008

·  Alpha Sigma inducted their first Kappa Omicron Tau College Guidance Division into the Alpha Sigma Sisterhood in 2010

Major Fundraiser

Alpha Sigma chapter has presented the Eminent Citizens Program as a fundraiser since 19__ to recognize outstanding citizens in the Metroplex

Local Scholarship

In April of 2005, Alpha Sigma established our local scholarship. It was named after Soror Mary E. Anderson, a life member and a long time supporter of the National Sorority of Phi Delta Kappa, Inc. She lives in Fort Worth, TX
