“The Finborough leads the way” Time Out

The Finborough Theatre celebrates the beginning of its 30th anniversary year with a season of award winning new plays by award winning writers, featuring both new and established playwrights from the UK, Ireland, the United States and Canada.

To celebrate 30 years of leading the way for London’s fringe, we look forward to the future – while remembering where we have come from– by presenting exciting world premieres of brand new work from many of the renowned playwrights who began their careers with us. Our usual acclaimed programme continues too with new work featuring the fresh vision of our own Finborough playwrights, rediscovered classics from the 19th and 20th centuries, and the cream of music theatre – from rediscovered opera and operetta to cutting edge new musical theatre.

Behind the scenes, we continue to discover and develop a new generation of theatre makers – through our vibrant Literary Department, our hugely successful internship programme, our Resident Assistant Director programme, and our partnership with the National Theatre Studio – the Leverhulme Bursary for Emerging Directors.
