Lesson Tuition Policy

Tuition Payment and Schedule

  • Tuition is $115 per month. Tuition is a flat fee and is the same every month and covers months that you will receive five lessons, as well as the months that you will receive four.
  • Tuition includes a weekly private lesson of 30 minutes in length. An instructor and lesson room have been reserved for each student at a specific time every week of the month.
  • Payment is made using auto pay by credit card. (Debit cards also accepted, but they will be run as credit.)
  • Lessons will not be given on the following holidays: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, and will be rescheduled. Reschedules for holidays, as well as Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, will be arranged in advance.
  • Tuition will be charged after the first lesson each month.

Attendance, Missed Lessons, & Make-Ups

  • Tuition is paid to reserve a guaranteed space and teacher for a specific time each week; therefore each month’s tuition must be paid regardless of the attendance of the student. There will be no credit given for missed lessons, unless other arrangements have been made in advance.
  • Due to teacher availability, a maximum of one make-up will be allowed during each two (2) month period. A phone call is necessary to report absences and be eligible for a make-up. Make-ups should be scheduled by contacting Allegro. A lesson must be made up in the month it is missed or at the discretion of Allegro. Make-ups cannot be saved or stockpiled.
  • Make-ups will be given according to the following guidelines: illness, threatening weather, performance at a religious institution, death of a family member, school sponsored music function or pre-planned student performance sports activity.
  • The store must be notified of your inability to keep a lesson appointment at least 24 hours in advance of your scheduled time in order to be eligible for a make-up request and to accommodate make-ups for others.
  • Late cancellations (lessons cancelled less than 24 hours before the lesson) and no shows (lessons missed without any notice) will not be made up. Lessons cancelled due to emergency or illness will be addressed on a case-by-case basis by the store and instructor.
  • If you are unable to keep a regular schedule for a period of time, please contact Allegro in advance. We will do our best to work with your schedule to make sure you are getting your allotted lessons. We understand schedules can change, and the more advance notice Allegro has, the more we are able to work out a suitable arrangement to your needs.

Instructor Absence

  • In the instance that the regular instructor cannot make the lesson appointment, an Allegro approved substitute will be provided.
  • In the rare instance that the store is closed due to emergency situations such as dangerous weather,the student will be notified of the cancellation.

Discontinuing Enrollment

If, for any reason, you decide to withdraw from lessons, please notify the store. The teacher will continue to expect you until (s)he is notified by you or our front desk. In order to withdraw from enrollment, the student must submit a Termination Form (available at the counter) before the 21st of the last month of lessons. The student will complete the current month.

Store & Student Responsibility

A student will be held responsible for any damages he or she may cause to Allegro Music Center property. Allegro Music Center holds no responsibility or liability for minors outside of their lesson times. Minors left without adult supervision are not Allegro’s responsibility. Parents/legal guardians of such unsupervised minors waive the right to pursue legal action towards the store or instructor for any injury sustained at Allegro.
