Call to order 6:30
Approval of Minutes / Meeting called to order at 6:30 by Carrie Greskoviak. Motion to approve minutes from April meeting by Mark Stevens, 2nd by Ed Carlson. /
Treasurer’s Report / Lisa reports: ending balance of $1,761.27. Motion to approve treasurer’s report by Becky. 2nd by Liz. Please see the Harborside website for the PTSO full treasurer’s report. /
Principal’s Report / Brewer’s game was a good time. Nicole created a grant proposal as part of her Senior Trip that PTSO helped pay for. This future grant will be for senior projects and any unique opportunity for students. Modifications were made to the grant during the meeting by members. /
Fundraisers / *Action Territory: made $36 last month. Our next one is May 16.
*Market Day: made $81.61. We have new dates for next year.
*Green Acres: made $1,200. Students made $5.00 off each gift certificate sold.
*Clothing Drive: May 20-23. Signs and robo calls will be made. Angela is looking for volunteers for this drive and to take over in the future. /
Activity Updates / *Teacher Appreciation: May 8 and 9, teacher massages. End of year cook out. We need student volunteers to help teachers clean out rooms on Thursday, June 13th. Cook out to follow. Earn service hours. Will speak to Becky about planning this lunch.
*8th Grade celebration: committee met and it’s June 10th. Will have a photo booth, and pirate/beach theme. Will be taking a group photo to hang up at school. Cake and drinks and will be at Southport Beach house. It begins at 7:00pm. Need volunteers to decorate.
*Registration: August 12 from 7am-1 and August 13 from 12-6. Need volunteers to help. /
Old Business / *PTSO scholarship. Announcements at the May 28th banquet. Mr. Buschmann handing our scholarships.
*Ms. DeCesaro’s mom passed. Liz Carlson made a motion to send flowers from PTSO. Georgette 2nd. /
Member Questions / Is there a June meeting? None planned.
Note: 7th and 8th grade combined trip to DC next year. /
Raffle / Ed won the raffle /
Board Elections / Liz motion to accept Ed 2nd nominations for 2014-2015 school year. Board members will be Carrie Greskoviak, President, Jon Henningfield, VP, Lisa Winter, Treasurer, Georgette Ball, Secretary. /
