The Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod Announces a

Partnership with the Naukabout Music Festival!

The Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod, serving 999 Cape Cod children and teens annually, is pleased to announce their partnership with the Naukabout Music Festival which will be held on Saturday, August 11 at the Barnstable County Fairgrounds in Falmouth. A portion of the proceeds from activities and concessions at The Naukabout Festival will support the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod. In addition to raising funds and awareness for the Boys and Girls Club of Cape Cod at the festival, The Naukabout will partner with the organization on programs and activities for the kids at the Club throughout the summer.

Tickets for The Naukabout are on sale now at www.naukabout.com and are $29 in advance, $39 day of show. Children under 12 will be admitted free with an adult. Gates open at 12:00PM.

The festival is celebrating its fifth year of bringing wonderful music to Cape Cod, including bands from all over New England. This year’s festival will be headlined by the Ryan Montbleau Band. The Ryan Montbleau Band is coming off a banner year having just released their new album For Higher. Funded through a Pledge Music campaign, the album features New Orleans superstars George Porter, Ivan Neville, Anders Osborne, and Simon Lott.

In addition to Montbleau, the main stage will feature John Brown’s Body, Adam Ezra Group, Dub Apocalypse, and the Dune Billy All-Stars featuring a collection of some of Cape Cod’s best musicians. On the side-stage attendees will find sets by Will Evans from Barefoot Truth, Tall Heights, the Jeff Conley Band and Baker Thomas Band featuring Danielle Miraglia. A video about the event is available on line on YouTube at: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lXFubkmy1Yw

There will also be family themed activities available throughout the day! There’s going to be children’s activities provided by the Cape Cod Children's Museum and Ocean Quest. In addition, the Hyannis-based Little Beach Art Gallery is creating the Little Beach Art Garden, to showcase local artists and craftsmen.

“We are very excited about this new partnership,” said Jim Kiley, President of the Board of Directors at the Boys & Girls Club. “Not only will this be a day of music and family-friendly activities, it has the potential to help the local economy and our businesses by drawing new visitors to the area, while providing support for our local Cape children at the same time. I know that our kids are going to enjoy having some of the musicians visit the Club during the summer to share their music! We particularly want to thank the vendors, Absolutely Juiced, the Burrito Place, and Tiffany Jazelle, for their support in helping support our 999 kids.”

The Barnstable County Fairgrounds is located at 1220 Nathan Ellis Highway, Route 151 in East Falmouth, MA 02536. Gates for Naukabout Five open at 12:00pm. Festival hours are 12:00noon to 10:00pm. The event is rain or shine. Tickets for the Naukabout are $29 in advance and $39 day of show at the gate.
