The North Central Regional Chapter of Custom Rod Builders, in conjunction with St Croix Rods, once again returns to Park Falls, Wisconsin for the 15th Annual Custom Rod Builders Guild workshop. Fun and activities for those who are new at rod building, or who have never attended one of the BYOB programs will begin at 8:00 on August 11th. The BYOB program will again take place on site at the St Croix factory, while Rod Building 101 classes, led by Chuck DeRemer will begin at the high school.

Registration for everyone else will start at eleven on August 11th at the Chequamegon High School. Events for this years’ program are bound to be spectacular, as St. Croix Rods welcomes us for a fun packed weekend of rod building activities. Speakers for this event will cover a broad range of subjects, both for the beginner and experienced rod builders. There will be multiple demonstrations covering topics in polyester resin, carbon fiber and wood handles, as well as programs for decorative thread work and weaving. There will be classes on finishes, visual wrap, decals, blank selection, in addition to tips for starting or running your own business. With so many classes being offered, there is sure to be something for everyone.

Some of the line up for this years event include; Mark Blabaum, Andy Wolfram, Chad Lagros, Bill Ballou, Jeff Gurchinoff , Don Oehlke, Becky Loyd, Walter Rehberg, Harold Durham, Jason Brunner, Garry Land, Chuck Brown, Kyle Robison, Al Engling, Jane Durham, and Armando Caceras, just to name a few.

There will be many of the special activities that you have come to know and love; such as the Spouse Program, meals at Smith Lake, the auctions, and the Big Sale Event.

All class handouts will be placed on the CRBG website after August 1st, under the Members Only section for your use. Handouts will not be distributed at the school.

As a reminder: St Croix and the Guild work together to provide this opportunity to meet, learn, and to purchase items directly from St Croix at greatly reduced prices. In consideration for all that these organizations do, we ask for your understanding, as we will not permit the sale of outside items at this event. Thank you.
