All Awards Will Be Based on a Lump Sum Basis

INVITATION FOR BIDS

The Hope Township Committee will receive sealed bids for Repair of 15 catch basins and Reconstruction of 12 catch basins on various roads within the Township of Hope.

All awards will be based on a lump sum basis.

Bids will be open and read at the Hope Municipal Building, 407 Hope-Great Meadows Road, Hope, New Jersey, on December 30, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. prevailing time.

Specifications and forms of bids for the proposed work, prepared by Rodman Associates, and approved by the Hope Township Committee have been filed in the office of the Township Clerk, Mary Pat Quinn, Municipal Building, 407 Hope-Great Meadows Road, Hope, New Jersey, and may be inspected by prospective bidders during business hours. Bidders will be furnished with a copy of the Specifications by the Engineer, Rodman Associates, P.O. Box 647, 19 Main Street, Blairstown, NJ 07825 on proper notice and payment of $25.00 for the cost of the standard proposal forms in the manner designated therein and required by the specifications, must be enclosed in sealed envelopes, bearing the name of the bidder and the name of the project on the outside, and addressed to:

Work can begin immediately, weather permitting and must be substantially complete by May 1, 2016.

Bids must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders and must include or be accompanied by:

·  Bid Form

·  Company Information Sheet setting forth names and addresses of all stockholders or partners who hold more than 10% or greater interest, in accordance with NJSA 52:25-24.2.

·  Non-Collusion Affidavit.

·  Complete List of Subcontractors set forth company names and addresses, owners, phone and fax numbers.

·  Certificate of experience listing all similar projects

·  Contractor’s references, five (5) required. Provide project description and Client (include contact person and phone number).

·  Affirmative Action Statement.

·  Surety Company Certification

·  Bidder’s Check List (BCL Form 1, 2, 3, 4).

Contracts for work under Bid will obligate the Contractor and subcontractors to comply with the Revised Statutes of New Jersey, Chapter 127 – P.L. 1975 “Law Against Discrimination: and Chapter 150 (1963) “Prevailing Wages on Public Contract.” Contracts will further obligate the Contractor to only use domestic materials for this project, in accordance with N.J.S.A. 52: 53-1 to 4.

Bids may not be modified after submittal. Bidders may withdraw Bids any time prior to Bid opening.

Hope Township Committee reserves the right to waive any informalities in or to reject any and/or all Bids, as may be deemed to be in its best interest, except as may be otherwise mandated by State Law.

The Contract, if awarded, shall be awarded to the lowest responsible Bidder or as otherwise provided in N.J.S.A. 18A:18A-37.
