Puff-Up XXIV Schedule – October 2, 2004

Welcome to Puff-Up XXIV! We are proud to continue the oldest and longest consecutive running Council wide fun day for Cub Scouts and their families! Why Puff-Up? The name most certainly comes from a regional expression meaning to state or assert with pride. Our theme is See Jesus – Worship Jesus. As Scouts, we acknowledge that all our strengths and all those things that are of help to us in life can only come through God! We can truly “Puff-UP” about our faith and trust in Him! The Diocesan Catholic Committee on Scouting, of the Archdiocese of Galveston Houston, sponsors Puff-Up. All are invited to participate in the Committee, which meets on the third Wednesday of even numbered months! Consult the Scouter for more details, or visit the DCCS website at Next meeting 10/20.

Today the program follows a sequence of seven different activities! Therefore, Scouts and families will be divided into seven groups, rotating from one station to another in numerical sequence! It will be fun as long as we follow a few simple rules!

  1. All BSA policies are in force!
  2. All youth are to be under the supervision of at least two adults at all times!
  3. Once assigned a group number/name – stay with it! If you get lost, seek directions to the Program Building, behind flagpoles. Stay with your group! There are activities planned for the entire day, do not deviate from them!
  4. In any emergency, please notify the staff at the activity you are participating in, and come if possible to the program building.
  5. Patches will be given to the unit leader in charge of registering your group! If your unit is camping, you must check out of your campsite and pass inspection to obtain your patches! We expect courtesy and cleanliness from everyone who uses Cub World! Please pick up any litter! Please observe speed limits! Be aware there are many children here; give them the right of way!
