My name is Paula Chambers, I am 43 years old. I met my husband, Steve,21years ago and we have been married fornearly 14 of those years.We have a son, Liam, who is almost 10 years old;he attends Parsons Down Juniorschool.We live in Derwent Road, Thatcham. I enjoy running,going to the gym and generally keeping active and healthy.

I am an NNEB qualified former Nanny and Senior Nursery Nurse with over twenty-five years of childcare experience.My previous roles include Family Support Worker for West Berkshire Social Services, within their child protection team, and over five years practice in a local residential school working with children and young people with severe autism and associated learning difficulties.

I am experienced with caring for twins, under eights (including new-borns, toddlers and pre-schoolers) and over eights.

All Aboard Childminding Service

All Aboard is an Ofsted registered childminding service (inspected in January 2017and graded ‘Good’ overall with outstanding elements), close to Parsons Down Infant and Junior Schools.My aim is to supply tailor made childcare packages, offering a flexibility with hours and fees that nurseries are unable to accommodate, however, still providing the same professional standards of care that one would expect from a nursery.

Core operating hours are 08:00 – 17:30, Monday to Friday, however earlier/later hours can be considered on an ad hoc or more permanent basis.

I offer full-time, part-time, before and after school, term-time only and school holiday care. I can drop off and collect at Parsons Down infants and junior schools. Local pre-schools/nurseries drop off and collection is also available (subject to times and other children already in my care).

Activities available include; messy play, role play/dressing up, books, arts and crafts, outings/trips*, toddler and music groups (*additional fees may apply), walks to the park/Thatcham Discovery Centre and lakes. I have a secure garden with play equipment including a trampoline and play house.

I charge an hourly rate of £5.00 and also offer daily and weekly rates. Discounts may be available, including a reduced rate for siblings, depending on hours and days required.I am registered to receive free entitlement funding for eligible 2 year olds and all 3 and 4 year olds (an additional cost may be applicable to cover outings and sundries provided per session/hour attended). Unfortunately, I do not offer the provision of meals, however I am happy to heat up any meals that you provide for your child/ren.
