ALHAMBRA Cross Country TEAM RULES

  1. Runners are expected to be suited up (SWEATS ARE A MUST) and up at the track shack no later than 3:12 Monday thru Friday unless otherwise notified by the coach. Runners that are consistently late may be dropped down a competitive level (dropping from varsity to JV).
  2. PRACTICE IS NEVER CANCELLED.
  3. A practice is defined as the period of time between 3:12 and when the full team workout is complete (approx. 5:00pm) Athletes who leave early will have a missed practice count against them. Outside activities (sport, music lessons etc.) are not a reason to leave early. Plan ahead, prioritize....COMMIT!!!
  4. Warm ups are required and are to be taken seriously
  5. Practice is mandatory. If a practice must be missed (due to appointments or illness) the coach must be notified as soon as possible. Any time after 3:12 that day is considered missed practice. If an athlete is unable to attend practice because of an illness or other medical situation, the coach must be notified in advance. Athletes must return to practice as soon as possible providing a parent or doctor’s note the day they return. Failure to notify or provide note upon return will result in an unexcused absence.
  6. Three tardies to practice is equivalent to a missed practice.
  7. MAKE CROSS COUNTRY A PRIORITY...If it is not, we wish you luck in whatever you choose to pursue.
