Mrs. Zeigler

Course Description

This course consists of

  • the identification of appropriate domains and ranges of functions;
  • the collection and organization of data, recording results, and graphical representations;
  • the use of symbolic reasoning to represent algebraic situations;
  • the expansion of functions for mathematical modeling to develop a versatile and powerful means for analyzing and describing their world; and
  • the understanding of properties that govern the use of symbols in expressions, equations, and inequalities.

In Algebra 2, graphing calculators will be used as an aidto instruction and assessment.Students should have their own calculator for homework. Honors students will be required to be able to do Algebra 2 with and without the aid of a calculator.

Course Requirements

Completion of homework, attendance,and taking notes are imperative to be successful in this course. Homework will be checked frequently and reflected in quizzes and tests, which are given on adaily to a weekly basis. Also, no work should be done in red ink
