Alderton Art Festival 2017

It is that time again when I am asking if you would like to exhibit at the above festival. The Festival, our 41st, will be held at St Margaret’s Church, on the weekend of 2nd and 3rdSeptember and we do hope you will join us.

As in the past there will be a hanging fee of £2.50per framed picture, and this year a maximum of 6. If you are exhibiting framed pictures we are offering you, the opportunity to sell unframed originals and prints. These will not be displayed on the walls but placed in boxes or browsersfor visitors to look through. There will be no hanging fee for these pictures, and they will not appear in the printed catalogue, however the standard 20% commission will apply, as on the framed ones. The framedand unframed pictures would need to be delivered between 5 and 7pm on Thursday 31st August.

To prevent damage, unframed pictures will need to be supplied securely mounted on card and wrapped in cellophane or the equivalent, unwrapped or unsupported pictures will not be accepted. They are supplied at your own risk and the Festival Committee cannot be held responsible for damage during the viewing process. They should be clearly marked with your name, contact telephone number, picture title and price, so sales can be recorded. This has proved to be very successful and 50% of the artists sold pictures.

As in the past all framed pictures will be hung, the screws and instructions sent after I receive your ‘entry form’, which should be with me by 12th August, this you can email, my address is above, the hanging fee can then be paid on delivery of the pictures on Thursday 31st August.

Unsold pictures and hopefully commission cheques should be collected on Sunday 3rdSeptemberaround 5pm, after the purchasers have collected their pictures. Alderton Arts Festival cannot be held responsible for any damaged or stolen exhibits.

Please get your entry forms back to me as soon as possible. Could you advise me if you no longer wish to bemailed, or know of any artist who would like to exhibit at the Festival this year.
