BOARD MEETING

Todd Ulvecalled the meeting to order at 7:00pm on at the City Arena. Members in attendance wereBrian Ball,Kelly Goskeson,Matt Stay,Troy Prescher, Brad Loch,Chad Severtson,Troy Neist,Matt Erickson,Matt Hoelscher,Alex Johnston, Travis Quam, Aaron Ladlie, Tanya Fjelsta, Paul Kenis, Robin Witham

SECRETARY’S REPORT: A motion was made byBrad Lochto accept theJanuary 2017Secretary’s Report, seconded byTroy Neist.
TREASURER’S REPORT: A motion was made byTroy Prescherto accept theJanuary2017Treasurer’s Reportseconded byMatt Erickson.
ARENA: Wi-Fi will be installed in back rink. New scoreboard, sound system and dryland net this Summer.
CHARITABLE GAMBLING: A motion was made byTroy Neistto accept the Estimated and Actual Expenses forJanuary 2017, seconded byMatt Hoelscher. A motion was made byTroy Neistto accept the Estimated Expense report forMarch2017, seconded byMatt Stay, included was a lawful purpose expense to pay current ice bill of $29662.50.
COMMITTEE REPORTS
ACE/Coach: Coaches year end reports next month
Scheduling: All scheduling done. Maybe additional time for A Bantams and U15 for Regions
Recruitment & Retention: Matt Hoelscher – U10 girls skate next week. Invite for girls to try hockey.
Sponsorship: Looking for a couple more sponsorships to come in yet
Fundraising: Vern Eide money needed for hockey day
Equipment: working on Mite turn in equipment. Price for additional tryout jerseys $11.50 each for 40. Pinny jerseys would be about $7.00 each-double check that price
Tournaments: Received final report from Brad Loch on profits
Concessions:new deep fryer- waiting for install
MN District 9: Quick change goalie gear coming from D9- Mike Carlson will pick it up
Girl Coordinator: N/A
Hockey Advisory Committee: Roy Nystrom is stepping down and Troy Neist will be added to the committee. Recommendations for coach ejections, locker room monitors, raise mite fees to $50

Off-Ice Training Area: Hope to finish this Summer
Webpage: Motion was made to upgrade from obsolete site to new for $400 by Troy Prescher, seconded by Alex Johnston
Special Tournament girls 2016-2017: N/A
Hockey Day Albert Lea: January 27, 2018 will be next year’s Hockey Day with skills on Friday night

City of Albert Lea Advertising Contract:Contract drawn up. Motion to accept contract with additional revisions made by Alex Johnston, seconded by Matt Hoelscher. Revised copy will be sent out for review
A Peewee issue:Parents and coaches issue, and locker room issue. Greivance Committee will set up a meeting with player and parent.
Board member terms:Troy Neist, Matt Erickson, Kelly Goskeson, Tanya Fjelsta, Brad Loch. Troy will be stepping down. Tanya- unknown
