Joni Wiman Gets 4th Win in 4 Starts in Infinity-ECU tuned GRC Lites!

15-year-old Mitchell deJong takes 2nd consecutive 2nd place finish, is third overall in points

Hawthorne, CA—Joni Wiman has become the flying Finn of the GRC Lites series, notching four first place wins in four starts in the inaugural season of the Global Rallycross Lites series after the finals at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Wiman has appeared unstoppable this season despite consistent competition from Sebastian Eriksson and young phenom Mitchell deJong. Eriksson is currently second overall in the series while 15-year-old deJong moved from 4th to 3rd overall after two second-place podium finishes at X Games LA and Atlanta. The Atlanta race was arguably the most exciting race in an already sensational series and featured multiple lead changes coupled with an unbelievable battle for 2nd place.

The Infinity stand-alone programmable engine management system was selected by Olsbergs MSE as the spec ECU in its new Global Rallycross (GRC) SuperCar Lites program for its power, flexibility and durability, as these purpose-built Rallycross cars are specifically designed to withstand the abuses incurred in Global Rallycross competition. The Infinity’s tuning power and processing speed, combined with a fully sealed enclosure able to withstand harsh environments make it the ideal engine management system for these cars.

The Infinity EMS delivers high-end engine control for the racing masses at a fraction of the cost. Built around a latest-generation 200MHz automotive processor, the Infinity is capable of processing 400 MIPS (millions of instructions per second). All Infinity systems come fully enabled without the need for feature add-on purchases. Combined with AEM’s industry leading after-purchase support system, including free technical support, the Infinity is the ultimate engine control solution for both professional race teams and weekend track cars.

The Infinity’s airflow-based tuning models simplify start up and speed up the tuning process by eliminating many of the lookup and trim tables (Correction Tables) necessary in previous generation ECUs. Each Infinity ECU includes ignition coil outputs and injector drivers equivalent to its name.
