The meeting was called to order at 2:00p.m. 6members were present.

President’s Report – Presidents’ Council:
- PTSO PRESIDENT AND TREASURER TRANSITION
 - The incoming 2016-17 Board members were installed according to the Shepard PTSO bylaws:
Paige Farber, Co-President
Adrea Lipp, Co-President
Joanne Deloss, Treasurer - The following Board members were removed after serving their 2-year terms:
Reagan Knaus, Co-President
Melina Dworsky, Co-President
Trish Bouslog, Treasurer - Five young authors at the Council meeting
 - Bright bytes results are excellent (technology integration assessment)
 - Digital citizenship – working to improve teaching kids how to maneuver safely online
 - Job descriptions revamped
 - Last day of school is June 10th, 2016
 - Art and music areas to be updated this Summer
 
Principal’s Report: Dr. Filippi
- We are in the process of closing out the school year, planning for next year, doing scheduling
 - Audiovisual bids for the gym are pending – May 15th, 2016 deadline
 - PTSO agrees to cover the cost, original bid from Troxell approximately 24K, plan for July install
 
Treasurer’s Report: Trish Bouslog
- Angel fund families tracking reviewed. Treasurer to sign confidentiality form to have access to those families involved
 - $17,200 spent on wish list gift this year
 - Consider increasing amount for teachers from $75 to $100 for next year
 - Budget goal for next year = $20-50K in reserve
 - Legacy books reviewed
 
Teachers’ Representative’s Report: Sam Brown
- Twenty people left to spend their money
 - Teachers reminded to complete this by May 15th, 2016
 - 8th graders going to Par-King on June 3rd, 2016
 - Thank you for the staff lunches
 
Student Council Report: Sam Brown
- Last meeting is coming up
 - Scrapbook to be updated
 - Furniture delivery is pending
 - 8th graders awarded for three years of service in Student Council
 - New spirit wear vendor (Lids) agrees to contract with us. This will offer us good quality products/more variety/online ordering. Sam Brown to follow-up on this
 
Old Business:
- Open positions – special lunch, cardboard challenge, dining dollars, volunteer coordinator, discount card
 - Minecraft club
 - AV system quotes as above
 
New Business:
- District is no longer doing yearbooks, each school to pick their own vendor, add this to fee day
 - Secretary to now do Life Line duties, transition from Jamie Lewis
 
Our next PTSO meeting will be Thursday September 1st, 2016 at 2pm.
