UNC - Charlotte - Levine Scholars Program / The Levine Scholars Program is UNCCharlotte’s most prestigious merit scholarship program that was established in 2009 by benefactors Sandra and Leon Levine. The inaugural class of Levine Scholars entered in the fall semester of 2010 and a new cohort of approximately 15 students is selected to join the program each year. Levine Scholarships are awarded to extraordinary high school seniors based on scholarship, ethical leadership, and civic engagement. NC State University - PARK Scholarship / The mission of the Park Scholarships program is to bring exceptional students to NC State, based on outstanding accomplishments and potential in scholarship, leadership, service, and character. The program develops and supports Park Scholars in these areas, preparing them for lifelong contributions to the campus, state, nation, and world. West may endorse up to 2 seniors. Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen’s Award / This award honors an outstanding senior who demonstrates qualities of good citizenship. There are two parts to this application. If interested in participating submit Part 1(two letters of recommendation, a transcript, and an essay describing how you manifest the qualities of a good citizen) to Mrs. Leja in the counseling center by Sept 15. You will be notified by Sept 30th if you are selected to complete Part 2 (two hour timed essay). Each state winner will receive an award of $250. / October 1, 2014
Wendy’s High School Heisman / This scholarship is for seniors who have at least a B (3.0) Average and participate in one of the 27 sports that are eligible. Emory Scholar / To be guaranteed consideration for the Emory University Scholars selection process (including Emory College, Oxford College, and the Goizueta Business School), students must submit all required application materials by the November 15 Emory University Scholars Programs deadline. Applicants will need to select one of Emory's three admission decision plans (Early Decision I, Early Decision II, or Regular Decision). Please note students applying Early Decision I (EDI) may apply for the Scholars Programs, but need to meet the EDI November1 deadline for all application materials.

1. Students must write an essay, not to exceed 500 words, based on the following topic: What BBB Programs and Services Strengthen Ethics/Integrity for your generation?
Students may write the essay in any form they wish. Judging will be based on how well students captured the essence of the topic and their creativity in responding.

·  Capstone Scholar has a 27 ACT or 1210–1240 SAT score (cr and math scores only) and at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA will receive $14,000 over four years ($3,500 per year).

·  Collegiate Scholar has a 28 ACT or 1250–1280 SAT score (cr and math scores only) and at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA will receive $16,000 over four years ($4,000 per year).

·  Foundation in Excellence Scholarship has a 29 ACT or 1290–1320 SAT score (cr and math scores only) and at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA will be selected as a receive the value of one-half tuition or $49,900 over four years ($12,475 per year).

·  UA Scholar has a 30–31 ACT or 1330–1390 SAT score (cr and math scores only) and at least a 3.5 cumulative GPA will receive the value of two-thirds tuition or $66,864 over four years ($16,716 per year).

WASHINGTON YOUTH TOUR: A LIFE CHANGING EXPERIENCE

Sawnee EMC invites local high school juniors and seniors to apply for the trip of a lifetime. Two students will be selected to represent Sawnee on an all-expense paid trip to our nation’s capital and will join hundreds of other students from Georgia and across the countryJune 11-18, 2015.
The Washington Youth Tour program goes well beyond being just a topnotch tour of our nation’s capital. Students will meet with state and national leaders, undergo leadership training, and visit all the major sites in Washington, D.C.
