RE: Next Meeting of the NWGLDEand Battelle UST Leak Detection Workshop

The Work Group will hold its regular business meeting on TuesdayOctober 23, 2012, Thursday October 25, 2012 and Friday October 26, 2012. We will be touring the Battelle laboratories Tuesday morning beginning at 8 am. From 1 pm until 5 pm Tuesday afternoonwe will be meeting a block from the hotel at the Battelle offices, 505 King Avenue, where the vendor/evaluator presentations portion of the meeting will be held. I have allowed time on the agenda for five vendor/evaluator presentations. On Wednesday October 24, 2012, we will be attending an all day UST Leak Detection Workshop at the Battelle offices. Thursday and Friday we will meet at the SpringHill Suites.

I have made up and attached an agenda that includes new and old business. Some of you mayneed to prepare ahead of time to be able to discuss certain items, and all of you need to be prepared to discuss the Work Group Policy Memos under “Old Business”. Let me know if you want to add, subtract, or revise something on the agenda. Heather Peters has agreed to take the minutes for this meeting.

We will be staying at the SpringHill Suites OSU. The address is shown above. There is a block of rooms reserved for the work group at $94.00 plus tax per nightbeginning Monday night October 22, 2012 through Thursday night October 25, 2012. Information on how to make reservations at the hotel was sent to you via e-mail.

The hotel has no shuttle service from the airport. They do have a contract with A1 Taxi to bring guests to the hotel. The cost is approximately $25 from the airport to the hotel and about $15 from the Hotel to the airport. No reservations are needed. Just go to the taxi kiosk at the airport anduse an A1 Taxi. In case there is a problem, A1 Taxi’s phone number is 614-251-2277.

Please complete the attached “Request for Travel Reimbursement” form (attached) and submit it to NEIWPCC at your earliest convenience, but no later than September 17, 2012. In response to the submittal of this form, you will receive a letter from NEIWPCC containing the rules and procedures for reimbursement. Please make sure you follow the rules in the letter so that you are fully reimbursed for your travel expenses.

If you are unable to attend the meeting, please let me know as soon as you can. I will look forward to seeing all of you in Columbus, OH!
