Agenda Items

• Consultants/Attend meetings, review documentation and progress, provide architectural advice – David Walker, Arlene Allen
• Detail Design Working Team – Albert Wu, Datta Mahabalagiri, Tony Merriweather and will continue with implementation of admin apps move from UCSB->UCLA (confirmed with Albert after meeting)
• Albert, Datta, and Tony will provide resources needed for Detail Design at 11/5 meeting.

• David has a call into Steve Benedict to check on how the contract/negotiations are going with the Service Now vendor; Service Now is currently installed at UCLA, not sure if other campuses are planning to install/have already installed it. Service Now would be a good test of vendor willingness/ability to work with a common UC middleware. Update: David is trying to talk with Steve.
• Confirm best candidate for User Provisioning Project based on David’s findings and update from Albert/Arlene (at 11/5 meeting)
• Per Arlene, the UCSB->UCLA admin apps move is theoretically viable but practically a bad idea due to local budget constraints and severe lack of resources at UCSB.
• Per Arlene, the provisioning on the UCSB side for UCSB->UCLA move will be done the ‘old fashioned’ way, with extracts using existing tools.
• Design can move forward w/out knowing the specific application.
• Question – could UCLA do the IDP & SP work on the middleware and thus this could still be a viable candidate? Even though UCLA will do the SP work and a lot of the IDP side work, there will still need to be SB involvement. SB would need to do some of the work and would need additional resources in order to do that.

• Schedule meeting to prep for Detail Design Readout with Albert, Datta, Tony – done, 10/25
• Schedule Detail Design Strategy Readout with larger team, done - 11/5
• Will schedule further ongoing checkpoint meetings for detail design after the 11/5 meeting.
