The joint Gate meeting of AIR & DD Technical Employees(ADTEA) & Programme Staff Association of AIR & DD was held at Akashvani Bhavan premises during lunch hours on the following genuine & justified demands:-Demands by ADTEA ( AIR & DD Technical Employees Association )
{I}:- [i] Revision of Grade pay of Asstt. Engineers from Rs. 4800/- to Rs. 5400/- ( File no. 14/35/2008- S IV- (B) submitted in the Ministry )
[ii] Revision of Grade pay Engg. Asstts. & other categories [ drawing pre-revised pay scale of Rs. 5000-8000, 5500-8500, & 6500-10500 ) from Rs.4200/- to Rs. 4600/-.( file no. 3/20/2008- SIV- (A) submitted in the Ministry )
[iii] Opening up promotional channel for ITI certificate holder SEA’s to the post of AE ( file no11/3/2008- SIV- (B) )
[iv] Opening up promotional channel for B.Sc / Diploma holder AEs to JTS cadre ( file no. 5/2/2006- SIV- (B) )
[v] Amendment in the Recruitment Rules of Helpers ‘ Redesignated name of Helper/ Khalasi ( file no. 14/47/2006/415- SIV-A )
[vi] Enhancement of the seniority cum fitness quota for promotion from the post of Sr. Technician to Engg. Asstt.( file no. 4/13/2008-SIV-A )
[vii] Proposal for grant of seniority cum fitness quota to Helper in the cadre of Technician. ( file no 4/14/2008-SIV-A )
( II ):-Implementation of 12/24 years ACP scheme for Subb. Engg. Employees( file no. 14/47/2006/415-SIV-A )
( III ):- Implementation of Cadre Review Committee Report with slight modification as proposed by ADTEA to CEO on dated 01-07-2009.
Demands by PSA of AIR & DD
1)Review DPC to the cadre of JTS
2)DPC to the cadres of JAG & SAG
3)Grant of the Rs. 5400/- grade pay to the Programme Executive
4)Grant of ACP to the cadres of Pex, Trex ( ID no 6/13/2001-S1(B)/928 DG: AIR dated 08.08.2008
5)Grant of Rs. 4600/- Grade pay to Trexes & equated cadres.
6)Implementation of Cadre Review Proposal for Programme staff.
Approximately 450 members of both the associations gathered and registered their protest against the apathy and callousness of the authorities in resolving the issues afflicting the subordinate engineering & programme fraternity since long. Moral support to the above said agitation was lent by ARTEE and ADEA whose Presidents, Vice Presidents & General Secretaries were also present to grace the occasion.
The following office bearers of the above said Associations addressed the gathering in the Gate Meeting and gave vent to their resentment over the dilly dallying attitude of the Sr. Officers who were busy in celebrating the golden jubilee of Doordarshan on completing its 50 years.
The Programme Staff Association’s President Shri Sanjay Srivastava, ADEA’s President Shri P.K.Singh and its General Secy. Shri P.N.Bhakta, ARTEE’s President Shri Anil Kumar S. as well as ADTEA’s General Secretary Shri Bharat Lal and its President Shri Kulbhushan Bhatia and special invitee Shri Prem of JPA addressed the huge crowd assembled in the Gate Meeting and it was also unanimously decided by all the top office bearers of the Associations to launch a joint agitation on the above mentioned agenda-points

Ref:- Enclosed notification by DOPT dated 09-04-2009
Madam,
Ministry of Personnel,Public Grievances and Pensions(DOPT) vide order S.O. 946 (E) Dated 09-04-2009 (Under the Gazette of India,Extraordinary,Part II-Sec 3-sub section(ii) issued classification of civil posts under the Union based on the grade pay attached with the posts as per Sixth CPC recommendation(Copy Attached).
This matter was discussed in the official meeting held with the representatives of the Associations. We were assured of the speedy issuance of the order for the same. We are pained to remind you that the order has not been issued till order has not been issued till today even after the lapse of more than one month.
Similarly Order of MACP has not been implemented till date despite assurance in the minutes that same will be implemented in 15 days.
It is requested to instruct the concerned authorities to issue the order immediately as decided in the meeting with your good self.
If the said orders as decided earlier are not issued immediately then it will be difficult for both the Associations to stop our members for further protest. The next course of action in this regard will be decided in the Joint Gate Meeting to be held on 15-09-2009 at Akashvani Bhavan.
