AGN International and four of its member firms showcase themselves at the 2012 Hannover Messe

For the first time in its existence, AGN International took part in the world famous exhibitors fair, the annual Hannover Messe which took place this year from 22 until the 27 April in Hannover, Germany. Two of AGN’s German members firms, Frankus and Schaffer & Partner and the China and Hong Kong based firm, Fiducia Management Consultants also took part along with AGN.

This year’s partner country at the Hannover Messe was the People’s Republic of China, and it was therefore officially opened by the Chinese Prime Minister Wen Jiabao along with the German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Sunday 22 April.

The exhibition was opportunity for AGN and its member firms not only to showcase themselves but also a chance for them to approach potential and current clients. Both the German firms Schaffer & Partner and Frankus also brought along Chinese speaking staff to ease communication with visitors and exhibitors from China at the fair.

Also present was Stephen Leung, AGN’s Asia Pacific Regional Manager, who also speaks Chinese and could therefore inform visitors as well exhibitors more about AGN.

Thaddeus Mueller, of Fiducia Management Consultants gave a presentation on ‘Current Sales and Distribution Strategies’ in China which covered the results of a survey done by his firm.

The CEO of AGN, Nick Blake and Marlijn Folkers from AGN’s International Executive Office were also present.

Nick Blake, CEO of AGN International, says: “This was a unique opportunity to demonstrate the strength and depth of AGN firms specifically in Germany and China, as well as worldwide. The number of visitors to our stand showed the large amount of interest being expressed in professional help in those countries by attendees at the Messe”.

This year’s Hannover Messe 500 participating Chinese companies were represented in all display sectors at the event. This year it attracted well over 190,000 attendees and a total of 50,000 visitors attended the event from abroad in 2012 - a jump of over one-third compared with 2008. 20,000 of these were from outside of Europe.
