World Language

6th Grade Band Supplies:

·  All flute, clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, French horn, trumpet, trombone, baritone, and tuba students are required to have book 2 Band Expressions by Smith (Alfred publishing). These are available at your local music store. If the student has not completed book 1, they should have that as well. Students who have never played an instrument need Book 1 Band Expressions.

·  Flute: cleaning rod, cloth, Black 3 ring binder w/20 protector sheets, name tag on instrument case with their contact info, and a pencil in instrument case at all times.

·  Clarinets/Sax: Cleaning swab, #2 reeds for beginners, and #2.5 size reeds for third yr players. Students should have 5 good reeds in their case at all times, Black 3 ring binder w/20 protector sheets, name tag on instrument case with their contact info, and a pencil in instrument case at all times.

·  Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba: Valve oil, slide oil, cleaning kit for their instrument (includes all cleaning brushes as well as oils), Black 3 ring binder w/20 protector sheets, name tag on instrument case with their contact info, and a pencil in instrument case at all times.

·  Percussion: Students will be taught lessons by Mr. Colaneri (7th-8th Grade Band Director). Books to be determined, drum sticks, Black 3 ring binder w/20 protector sheets, pencil

7th Grade Supply List – Blue Team

Supplies that are shared in several classes:

·  Pens (blue or black ink only; you are required to have a pen & pencil at all times)

·  Loose leaf paper (you will need a lot of paper throughout the year)

·  Markers, crayons, or colored pencils

·  Binder rings

Math:

·  Spiral notebook (not to be shared with any other class)

·  Calculator for home use (The TI-30XIIS is the one used in class but a basic 4 operation calculator will be sufficient) May want to plan ahead and check 8th grade calculator list.

Science:

·  1.5” Notebook to serve as a science journal (not to be shared with any other class)

Social Studies:

·  Highlighter

·  Usb drive (this will be used later in the year)

·  3-ring hole punch which fits in your binder (not required, but will make your life easier)

English:

·  Tabbed separators for the binder (you will need 4 - the 5th may be used to separate another subject, such as Social Studies)

·  Hardcover notebook for your “MOBB” (suggestion: Mead Composition Notebook - it will be decorated)

·  Scissors

·  Glue stick or Elmer’s

·  Book cover (small - for our Vocabulary book)

·  A three-holed folder (one solely for English to keep handouts, homework, notes, etc. in your binder)

·  Sheet protectors
