The regular meeting of the Cohoctah Township Board was called to order at 8:02 pm with the pledge to the flag. Present: Fosdick, Thurner, Bock, Buckner, Meek, J. Pfeffer-Auditor, Z.A., and 8 citizens.

Agenda: Motion byThurner, support by Buckner to approve agenda as presented. Motion carried.

Minutes: Motion by Thurner, support by Bockto approve August regular meeting minutes with correction to August expenditures, subtracting a check to AT&T that they did not receive, for a total of 69,470.48. Motion carried.

Treasurer's report: Motion by Thurner support by Bucknerto receivetreas report. Motion carried. Copy placed on file.

Township annual audit report presented by John Pfeffer, of Pfeffer, Hanniford, and Palka accounting firm. Twp received favorable review. Motion by W Thurner, support by Bock to accept the 2009/10 annual audit report as presented. Motion carried.

Fire Authority – Agreement reached between Byron and Howell Fire Authority, to provide faster response time to the northern residents of the township.

Rd Commission – Leave on agenda.

Hall – Leave on agenda. Barn – Leave on agenda.

Cemetery – Leave on agenda.

Parks and Rec – Fow. Rec report received by T. Clapp. 5 year Park and Rec plan, leave on agenda.

1934 Cohoctah Road – Leave on agenda.

Nazarene Campground – Leave on agenda.

Master Plan Draft distribution – Motion by Meek, support by Buckner, that the Township Board approve the distribution of the draft master plan to the surrounding governments/agencies for review, pursuant to Actt 33 of the Public Acts of 2008, more commonly know as MPEA. Motion carried.

Assessor Computer – Leave on agenda.

Tax Levy Resolution – Motion by Meek, support by Bock, to adopt a resolution to levy taxes of 0.8086 mills for operationg purposes, plus 1.3384 mills for roads, established by election, for a total of 2.1470 mills for the 2010 tax year. Roll call vote: Yays-Thurner, Bock, Fosdick, Buckner, Meek. Nays – none. Motion carried.

Roose Violation – Show/Cause hearing scheduled for October 14, 2010 at 7 p.m. Agreement signed to postpone Board of Appeals request by James Crane, representing Patricia and Charles Roose, until after the Board meets on October 14, 2010.

Reports - ZBA, none. Plan Comm, 2 trailer permits issued, one land use app. tabled until October, waiting on more information from applicant.

Violations –2010-003, waiting for Land Use application approval for fence. 2010-005, upon ZA recommendation, no violation at this time.

Expenditures presented, listed at end of minutes. Motion by Thurner, support by Buckner to pay expenditures as presented. Motion carried.
