6. Where there sufficient opportunities for you to participate? Please explain.

22 ‘yes’ responses out of 26 responses.

Freedom to share a wide variety of opinions.

Time set aside to ask questions really generated good disucssion.

SRC 101 was great as it was a good refresher, but provider thorough information for new people.

My first time, thought it was excellent!

Great discussions and opportunity for feedback.

Average, some was too much opportunity, while other places in the Agenda was too short.

Mobility issues need to be addressed if doing activities that require movement around the room.

I would of liked to have a list of attendees.

Too much ‘off-topic’ grandstanding by a number of attendees, need to check their egos at the door.

Liked the flexibility for q & a.

Each session had great facilitators who managed their time and made sure there was time for questions.

Noticed that not all people where recognized who had their hands up.

Liked that the welcome session set the tone of encouragement to ask questions and be part of discussion at my table or in the larger group.

Great environment established to ask questions and have discussion.

Really liked how well the microphones were managed around the room, led to great opportunities to ask questions, encouraged to participate and increased comments from all attendees.

Raised my hand on three occasions and was passed – not sure why.

Excellent opportunities to participate and gather great information.

Liked that we could participate not just at our table, but also as part of the larger group and it was safe.

7. Indicate one thing you would change about the Saturday Training Sesssion.

While many may not be overtly aware, the tone of some of the presentations especially 2 and 4 above seemed quite preachy and a bit off putting. This seems inconsistent with and attitude of what is suppose to be collaboration amongst the Coalition members.

Freedom to share – at times attendees were over the top with their egos!

Thought it was excellent, no change needed.

Strategic Planning Session needed more time. Liked the reception being earlier – keep it.

Activites needed to be accessible to blind folks.

For SRC 101 add opportunities for tables to discuss each mandate and generate ideas to report.

Make sure all activities are accessible.

I like the activities, but the panel which was good, needed more structure or preparation.

Add a SRC case Study. A real or made up situation of one of the mandates and have each table manage it and report out.

Provide us with electronic equipment to use the thumbdrives, so we can take notes on the documents during the sessions.

Should of taken time to review the contents of the thumb drive.

Not really.

Nothing. 8 responses of 26.

Room was too dark – lighten it up.

Longer times for people to manage their disability needs.

Room set up did not support people with mobility needs. Too croweded.

Wouldn’t change a thing – quite well rounded.

SRC 101 should be the whole day.

Keeping people on track with topic – too many talking just to hear their own voice.

Less focus on making a book and more on the topics.

Panel of Chairs needs some updates.

Provide food in the am with coffee. 4 responses of 26.

The fnal activity was completely insensitive to partcipants with physical disabilities, including those in wheelchairs and those who are blind. The concept was good, but failed in inplementation to ensure full access for all.

The Panel of Chairs was all over the place and it was hard to keep up with what they were talking about.

No panel of chairs too confusing.

8. Indicate one thing you would keep about the SaturdayTraining Session.

Keep SRC 101 – great for all levels of members.14 of 26 responses.

Chair Panel 8 of 26 responses

The work plan 5 of 26 responses.

Interactions 7 of 26 responses.

Keep it all 5 of 26 responses.

It was great – panel needed more stucture.

Work plan and voting on priorities.

SRC 101 – all day and every time

Best Agenda ever

SRC 101 was good educational information about priorities

Well done – appreciate your hard work!

OTHER COMMENT:

I think the Board people need to be assigned to different states to mentor those of us who really don’t understand all the ins and outs of the SRC work and responsibiliteis. Think you could start in Arkansas as a trial run, so that we could tell you how we do things here and then you could create a plan for us to use to be successful.

THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT!!!
