This is the current SLO for College Algebra (provided as an example only):

College Algebra

M1: Students will attain at least 70% on a multiple choice final exam (from a bank of questions) on the following topics: factoring, radicals, solving equations and inequalities, rational functions, exponential and logarithmic functions.

Current SLOs
Applied Calculus & Statistics

M1: Students will attain at least 70% on applying appropriate rule(s) (e.g., product, quotient, power, etc.) to find and simplify the derivative of a function (e.g., algebraic, rational, exponential, logarithmic). The embedded final exam question will be graded using a rubric.

M2: Students will attain at least 70% on applying appropriate anti-differentiation rule(s) to find and simplify the integral of a function (e.g., algebraic, rational, exponential, logarithmic). The embedded final exam question will be graded using a rubric.

M3: Students will attain at least 70% in solving an applied optimization problem. The embedded final exam question will be graded using a rubric.

M4: Students will attain at least 70% in solving and analyzing a problem of measures of central tendency. The embedded final exam question will be graded using a rubric.

Proposed SLO:

Applied Calculus & Statistics

M1: Students will attain at least 70% on a computer-graded, fill-in-the-blank final exam (from a bank of questions) on the following topics: applying appropriate rules to find and simplify the derivative or antiderivative of a given function (e.g., algebraic, rational, exponential, logarithmic), applications of derivatives, and analyzing and solving problems of measures of central tendency and probability and their applications.
