DRAFT Minutes of the DISACT Network Meeting,
Tuesday 26th September at the Bean Building, Australian War Memorial.

2. Minutes of the last meeting and business arising:
4.2 / BK to contact Kim Morris regarding the maintenance of a list of succesful participants in the DISACT Disaster Recovery Workshops / Outcome: Kim contacted; list being compiled. Completed.6.1 / BK to circulate contact lists for updating and circulate to the network. / Outcome: Contact listings to be circulated at this meeting for correction, compilation and distribution. Ongoing.
6.2 / Equipment lists to be forwarded to Cheryl Jackson at NAA for compiling and updating. / Outcome: List largely complete. Ongoing
3. Signing of new MOU: MOU is currently with Aust. Nat. Herbarium/CSIRO, being reviewed by legal department.
4. Inter institutional co-operation and DISACT activities:
4.1 Disaster Recovery Workshop: NGA is hosting the next workshop. Kim Morris is in communication with CIT to organise the venue. The next workshop is being scheduled for either the 25th and 26th of October or the 2nd and 3rd November (latter more likely).
4.2 The DISACT seminar: The recent DISACT seminar was very succesful and DISACT has been approached by the organisers of Information Awareness Month to participate in next year’s event. ACTIONS: The network is asked to consider issues that might be suitable topics for a seminar. A sub-committee will be set up at the next meeting to progress this. Jennifer Lloyd offered to investigate the NLA theatre as a possible venue.
4.3 The DISACT website: BK has contacted Murray Fagg of ANH, the DISACT webmaster regarding the addition of material to the website. Murray is currently on leave but will be back in 2 weeks. ACTION: BK to progress.
