IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR AGENCY WORKERS

Time sheet recording
You must attend punctually and be ready to start work at the specified time(s). If you are late, you must report to your immediate supervisor to confirm your attendance.
If applicable, swipe cards/clock cards/signing in/out procedures to be used/followed at the start and end of each work period.
If applicable, you should provide your Time Sheet to ………….… for signing before submitting to the Agency - this should be done on Friday of each week, or on the last day of your assignment.
Standards of Dress/PPE Provided
You should report to work in suitable clothing and pay particular attention to your appearance and personal hygiene. If you are issued with items of clothing of a protective nature, they must be worn when at work. You are responsible for maintaining and laundering your own work-wear.
Footwear
If, as a consequence of a risk assessment, your job requires you to wear protective footwear then you must always report for work with suitable shoes or boots etc. Otherwise footwear must be sensible and suitable for normal work use.
Behaviour at Work Explained
Your behaviour towards employees or other persons must be decent and civil at all times. Rudeness, objectionable or insulting behaviour, or bad language, will not be permitted towards other persons.
Work Standards
Workers are required to work diligently and use their best endeavours to promote our interests. Care and attention should be taken at all times to ensure that tasks are performed to the standards required without the need for re-work. Poor or substandard work will result in action being taken to improve matters.
HousekeepingIt is essential that you keep your work place clean and tidy. Untidy work areas will not be tolerated and are important for safety and appearance. In particular, floors, walkways and fire exits must be kept clear at all times and any spillages must be cleared up immediately.
TelephonesThe telephone system is provided for essential business use only. Telephones must not be used for personal calls except in emergencies when prior permission from management must be sought. Incoming personal calls must be kept to a minimum and must be of an emergency or essential nature only.
Personal mobile phones must be switched off during normal working hours.
Use of Mobile Phones must not be used when you are driving unless you are using a hands free kit where the phone is located in a cradle or other similar device. Even then you should only use the telephone when it is safe to do so. Hand held operation from inside a vehicle is strictly forbidden unless you are not the driver or you are parked off the road and the engine is switched off.
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited throughout the building with no exceptions. You are not permitted to smoke in any Company vehicles. Smoking is permitted outside in designated areas and at designated break times. You must not smoke in any designated “No Smoking” area.
Intoxicants
Alcohol must not be consumed during the working day or brought onto the premises without prior permission from management. Alcohol or other intoxicants must not be consumed during the working day. Bringing alcohol or other intoxicants onto the premises is strictly prohibited.
Personal Property
Whilst we will take all reasonable steps to protect the personal property of workers we do not accept liability for any loss of, or damage to, personal property brought onto Company premises. You are advised not to bring valuables or large sums of money on to the premises. You should not leave personal items overnight.
Publicity
You must not make unauthorised statements to any media. Statements about the Company or its dealings or that make any reference to the Company must only be made by a Director.
