Deadline for Entry: Wednesday, March 30, 2016 NO EXCEPTIONS!!
Practice: April 1, 2016 at the Haas Auditorium at 5:30 PM everyone must attend.
Eligibility: Contestants must be a resident of Avoyelles Parish or any parish that borders Avoyelles Parish (St. Landry, Evangeline, Rapides, Pointe Coupee, Concordia, Catahoula, and LaSalle). Contestant may not hold any other titles.

Awards: Queens will receive custom corn crowns to be worn during their reign, monogrammed banner and gift. 1st and 2nd alternates will receive gifts. Miss Queen after fulfilling her obligations will receive a $1,000 scholarship after her reign.

Photogenic:There will be a photogenic winner in each age division. Each contestant must submit a recent 5x7 photograph with her application and $5 fee.
Contract: All Queens will be required to sign a contract with the Louisiana Corn Festival and will be required to attend listed events. Miss Louisiana Corn Festival must attend twenty festivals or pageants out of parish and compete at the Queen of Queens in Baton Rouge in February of next year. Teen must attend fifteen festivals or pageants out of parish and Jr Miss must attend all events in the parish. PLEASE READ CONTRACT. Queens must be available for week prior to festival and festival weekend June 9th, 10th and 11th, 2016.

Interview: Teen and Miss Contestants will have a five minute interview. Suit or Dress is appropriate attire. Contestants must be knowledgeable about the festival, city and parish. Please make sure to do your research.

Sportswear: Corn Festival T-shirt and shorts or Capri’s; your choice of colors. Shirt may be picked up when paid application is received, but after March 12th. Decorated Shirts are encouraged.

Commercial: Jr., Teen, and Miss will introduce themselves during sportswear and will give a short commercial about the Louisiana Corn Festival. A full complete schedule and specific information regarding the 2016 festival will be available to you by March 12th.

Formal:Jr. Miss, Teen, and Miss will compete in a full length long evening dress of her choice. Teen and Miss will also answer an onstage question regarding the festival during formal wear.
Please furnish a stamped self-addressed envelope for a copy of your scores. Allow three weeks.

I agree that the pageant or the facilities where the pageant is being held are in no way responsible for any lost or stolen items or injuries that may occur during the pageant, festival, or any functions attended to represent the Louisiana Corn Festival. I agree that the judge’s decision will be final and that my family and I will show forth good conduct at all times. I have read the Queens contract and I understand and agree to perform all duties required of me by the Louisiana Corn Festival Committee if I am chose Queen.
