1.Club Introduction

Vinters Park FC was formed in 1974 to give youngsters in the Maidstone area the opportunity to play football. As the club grew in size Vinters Green was formed in 1989 which enabled the club to play two teams in each age group. Due to the success of our Development Squad, Vinters Valley was formed in 2005, and Vinters Rangers in 2011 to allow us the opportunity to run multiple teams in each age group. In 2011 we formally affiliated as Vinters FC to emphasise that all teams are part of one club, and all teams now wear Green/White striped shirts and Black shorts.
Vinters FC were awarded the prestigious FA Charter Standard Community Club status in 2011, having progressed from the FA Charter Standard Development Club status which was first earned in our 2002/3 season.
In 2005, Vinters FC introduced a dedicated Development Squad for girls football, and season 2006/2007 saw the first ever Vinters Park girls team playing competitive football in the Kent Girls/Ladies Football League at the Under 11 age group.
In 2011, Vinters FC entered a boys team at the Under 13 age group in the highly successful Kent Youth League for the first time.
For season 2011/2, Vinters have 24 teams entered in 6 different leagues, and several of these teams compete in the Kent County FA Cup competitions.
Vinters FC are based at Valley Park school playing fields and our crest, the oak tree, is where the players used to meet in Valley Park before they played their matches.
The Vinters Development Squad provides a platform for Year R, Year 1 & Year 2 children in the community to first and foremost enjoy football. Our coaches help the children develop their skills and understanding of the game enabling them to progress to be part of a Vinters team from the age of Under 7 if they so wish. The Development Squad welcomes both boys and girls from the age of 4 with sessions every Saturday morning at the Valley Park Community School playing fields from 10AM to 12 Noon.
Every year Vinters hold their annual 5-A-Side tournament which is one of the biggest one day soccer tournaments in Kent. The first tournament was held in 1996 now regularly sees 200 teams competing from over 50 clubs on the first Saturday in July.
Vinters are very proud of the contribution that all our players make during the season and this is recognised at our annual Presentation Evening. The event is attended by over 400 people and sees awards given for most improved player, manager's player and player's player for every age group. Every member of our development squad receives a training award and long service awards are given to players who have been with the club for 5 years and 10 years.
