EMPLOYER UNDERTAKING

I confirm that I understand that I am responsible for checking the immigration status documents of any worker I employ. I will not retain the original documents but if I decide to employ someone I will ask for a photocopy for my records of the employee’s passport and visa.

I understand that Kalayaan are an equal opportunities organisation and as such will not accept adverts that request employees of specific nationalities.

I understand that I must comply with UK employment regulations and confirm that I will pay at least the national minimum wage - £6.50 per hour as of October 2014 (I understand that from this amount I am allowed to deduct the accommodation offset – £35.56 per week as of October 2014 - and no more).

I understand it is my responsibility to arrange the payment of my employees tax and national insurance contributions and that any domestic worker on a domestic worker visa cannot be self employed.

·  This notice will be placed on the board in our centre for 2 consecutive weeks

·  Workers will call you directly, you can arrange an interview with those workers whom you believe are suitable

·  You MUST complete ALL sections or the position will not be advertised

·  Any periods of time when the worker is required to be responsible for a baby or elder person and therefore cannot leave the house at her leisure must be counted as working time for the purposes of calculating the minimum wage
