Summary

General information about your trip as if you were telling someone about it.

Assumptions:

Everyone departs from school on a Friday afternoon/evening.

Everyone returns to the school from trip on Monday before midnight.

Four people will be going. Remember, if you drive one person has to be an adult.

The vehicle used for travel will get 20mpg.

The vehicle will average 60 mph.

Gasoline is $3.50 per gallon.

If airfare travel is required, then expense and times must be researched and included.

You may stay in a modest hotel or camp.

You must use a professional, guide, outfitter, or rental service.

If you are going on a hunt, assume the participants have the necessary gear.

If you are going fishing or horse back riding, assume that the guide provides the gear.

  3. What is your final destination?
  4. Where will you be spending the night(s)?
  5. How much is it to stay there?
  6. How many miles is it from (your campus)to your final destination?
  7. How long will it take to get there? (Include rest stops and meal breaks)
  8. How much gas money (or airfare) should it take (round trip)?
  9. If you are flying, what airline are you flying on?
  10. Who is your guide and/or rental service?
  11. What information can you give us about the guide service?

Their experience, location and equipment they supply, etc.

  1. Do they provide gear or do you need to bring it?
  2. If you have to bring equipment, what is needed and how much is it?
  3. How much is it to rent equipment?
  4. How much is the guide service?
  5. Where will you be eating meals and how much money do you need for them?
  6. What other clothing, equipment, etc. should you bring?
  7. How much money do you need for souvenirs?
  8. What is the total cost of the trip PER PERSON?
