COMPANY HISTORY
Advantage Products Corp. was founded in 1992 with manufacturing and distribution facilities located in Cincinnati, Ohio. The Corporate mission is to manufacture the very best over-the-shoe boots; meeting or exceeding user defined performance standards by utilizing innovative designs and superior materials.
TREDS Over-the-Shoe boots, the Company’s flagship brand, was introduced in late 1992 into the safety market. TREDS are the only line of heavy duty overboots made of real, latex natural rubber – nature’s strongest material. TREDS significantly ‘raised the bar” in overboot performance with a product so durable , so easy to pull on and off, and so easy to use, that no other brand even comes close.
In 1997, two new lines were added to the Company’s offering -- Super Grit Overboots and TREDS Steel Toe Shoecovers. These products focused on bringing superior footwear protection to the market place.
1998 was an important year for the Company’s expansion. The TREDS Overboot line was introduced to the Agricultural Market and the Motorcycle aftermarket with TREDS Motorcycle Rainboots. Trade and user response was exceptional. For the first time, these
two markets were introduced to an over-the-shoe boot that was actually easy to pull on and off and were truly resistant to tears and snags.
Then in 2003, Advantage Products Corp. boldly took the next step to service a market with extreme performance demands – the Concrete Accessories Market. The product developed specifically for this application is TREDS 17” Slush Boots.
Many in the industry doubted that premium-priced TREDS could effectively compete with the down-and-dirty market of imported yellow slush boots. TREDS 17” Slush Boots proved their concerns to be unfounded. “The world’s toughest job deserves the world’s strongest boots…TREDS 17” Slush Boots”.
The word spread quickly in the concrete market – “There’s a boot that doesn’t tear!” In addition to fending off rebar and nails, TREDS slide on and off easily so users can pull on a pair to fit snug. Additionally, TREDS Slush Boots are lighter in weight and much less fatiguing that heavy, bulky, traditionally styled slush boots. And there’s no right or left (unilast design) – just grab a boot and pull it on. TREDS 17” Slush Boots are the new standard in the Concrete Industry.
Untapped market opportunities remain. The company is committed to boldly offering new and unique solution to the age old problem of over-the-shoe protection. Advantage Products Corp., will continue to raise the ‘performance bar’ of its current line of products and it can be expected that the company will continue to launch exceptional, new products into new underserved market segments.
