Course Policies:
Classroom Behavior: My rules are simply one word: RESPECT. You are expected to respect me, yourself, your fellow classmates, and school equipment. You are a Union Redskin and therefore championship behavior is required. This is a business class and I expect you to behave as if you are on the job.
Missed Classes: When you have been absent, it is YOUR responsibility to obtain the assignments.
Assignments: All assignments/projects are due at the end of class on the date due. Worked turned in after the date due will received half credit. You have one week after the due date to turn in your assignment for half credit. After that time you will receive a zero.
Tardies: You must be in your seat when the bell rings or you will be considered tardy.
Hall Passes: Will be given at my discretion. You may not have a hall pass when I am giving instruction, when we have a guest speaker, or when there is a substitute. Passes to the nurse’s office are also at my discretion.
U-Hype Crew: The U-Hype Crew is a new addition to the Sports and Entertainment Management class. The crew functions as a promotional team providing game time entertainment during the Union Athletic Events. Involvement in the U-Hype is required for students in the Advanced Class. Membership is also open to those students outside the class.
BPA: Business Professionals of America (BPA) is the student organization associated with the business classes. It is an integrated part of the curriculum with opportunities for leadership, community service, and scholastic competition. Members may gain opportunities for scholarships, participate in leadership activities and are encouraged to compete in local, state, and national level competition. Membership dues in BPA are $20 for the school year. Meetings are held monthly.
Class Supplies: You will need to bring paper, pen/pencil, and a folder each day. A flash drive is not required but is very helpful! If you have a laptop you are welcome to bring it.
Contact Information: Communication plays a major role in success! If you have any questions or if a problem arises during the semester, please feel free to contact me via email, phone, or schedule a meeting. My plan hour is from 2:20-3:20 (6th hour).
