Advance registration for summer term is required of all entering students.

Advance registration for summer term is required

of all entering students.

By completing your registration via SUOnline by May 29, you will confirm your enrollment in the first year class and be expected to pay summer term tuition.

Upon registering for class, your tuition is automatically billed. You may view your account charges on SUOnline at that time (a paper bill will not be mailed to you). You may make payments via SUOnline or by check. If you receive financial aid and expect a credit balance, refund checks will be available at the Business Office the Thursday after classes begin or can be direct deposited into your bank account. To sign up for the direct deposit option, please complete the Direct Deposit Request Form and turn it in (along with a voided check attached) to the Business Office in Sullivan Hall, Room 209.

In order for direct deposit to be available for the term, you must submit your form and voided check to the Business Office no later than three weeks before the first day of classes for the semester. Please contact the Business Office at 206-398-4050 with any questions.

For your refund to be available on the first Thursday of the semester, your financial aid needs to be finalized (all requirements completed, submitted and processed) in a timely manner.

You must also complete the Certification of Work for Pay Hours (available on SUOnline under School of Law Students on the Students Menu) each term.

Summer Tuition Payment Information

Tuition for the 2015 summer term is $5576. You have paid $250 (advance tuition deposit) to the Law School, so your remaining balance is $5426 (this includes a $100 matriculation fee). You must pay the remainder of your tuition by June 26.

  • If you expect to receive a Federal Stafford Loan for summer, your loan proceeds will be applied to your account if your financial aid file is complete. In the event of a refund, pick up the refund check at the Business Office at the end of the first week of school or, if you signed up for the direct deposit option, it will be direct deposited.
  • You should always be prepared to pay for books and other expenses from your own resources for approximately the first two weeks of each term.
  • If you intend to apply for a Federal Stafford Loan for summer studies – but have not completed the required online application forms – do so immediately. Please refer to the Post-Admit Checklist (see your Award Letter email or the Post-Admit Checklist) for requirements. Call Student Financial Services ASAP at 206-398-4250 if you have questions.
  • If you are not receiving loan monies for the summer, you are eligible to participate in the Law School’s Deferred Payment Plan. Under this plan, one half of your tuition ($2713) is due on the last day of the first week of the term. The remaining tuition charges may be made in two equal payments due on July 1st and August 1st. There is a one time, per term, 1.5% finance charge on the deferred balance. If you wish to take advantage of this plan, complete the appropriate forms on the Business Office website. TuitionPay is another deferred payment option. This plan enables you to pay your tuition installments throughout the year. Visit TuitionPay for more information.

Entrance Counseling and promissory notes are required of all students receiving a Stafford Loan and the Grad PLUS (credit based) loan. You may complete Entrance Counseling and promissory notes at prior to the first day of class. Your funds cannot be released until these steps are completed.

If you have any financial aid questions or wish to verify that your file is complete, please contact Student Financial Services at 206-398-4250 or .
