Dear Parent,
End of the term is always associated with a strange mixture of happiness and melancholy. One looks forward to the new session which indicates going ahead and at the same time bidding farewell to the students of class-XII who have been associated with us for 14 years, makes everyone sad.
I would like to share with you the good things which have happened in the school as well as our future plans for the coming session i.e. April’13 to March’14.
ACADEMICS:
1. Smart classes have helped the students in strengthening their understanding of the subjects. Teaching and learning has become an exciting and more meaningful process for the teachers and the students.
2. Performance Enhancement Classes were organized for Class-XII students who wanted to improve their standard of work. At the same time the school has also organized remedial classes for the weak students.
3. Eight of class -12th students from Science stream have cleared NDA written examination.
4. The school has introduced School Cinema , a very innovative concept designed to teach and reaffirm the life skills, values and attitude to the students and teachers.
5. Workshops for Hindi and English subjects for Primary and Middle school teachers were organized in PRF School, Mathura.
6. A workshop for the students from Classes -VI to IX and XI on - "Tapping Subconscious Mind Power" will be organized on 16th of March, 2013. For teachers a workshop on “Group Values” will be organized on 17th of March, 2013.
7. An entrance test for Class-XI students to decide the stream will be held on 22ndMarch, 2013.
CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
1. Inter House Hindi and English Debates, Science and Computer Quizzes and General Knowledge Quiz were conducted for junior as well senior school.
2. An Inter House Rangoli Competition was also organized for senior and junior school which showcased the creativity of the students.
3. A career counseling workshop was organized for the students of Class-X to XII. It was conducted by Mr. Sachin Kumar who is a career counseling aficionado.
4. Annual Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and gaiety. Shri Ashok Ganguly, former Chairman of CBSE graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. It was indeed an honour for the students and the teachers to spend some time with him.
5. Swami Yogatamanandaji has been conducting a workshop once in a month for the classes IX and X students on “Personality Development” and for teachers on “Teaching of Geeta”.
6. The students of Class-XII participated in CBSE Science Exhibition held at Lucknow.
7. The School Exhibition was organized on 7th of December, 2012.
SPORTS:
1. Annual Sports Day was celebrated on 8th of December, 2012. Mr. J.S. Bhatia , recipient of Dronacharya Award and Coach of Indian Athletic team, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.
2. School badminton team participated in CBSE East Zone Badminton Championship held at Star International School, Ranchi.
3. School Athletic team participated in CBSE Cluster Athletic Meet held at Little Flower House, Varanasi. Our students bagged 1 Gold Medal, 2 Silver Medals and 7 Bronze Medals. Two of our students Komal Verma of Class-IX and Swati Mishra of Class-VIII were selected for National Meet.
4. School Football team represented the school in CBSE Cluster Football Tournament held at Awadh School, Lucknow.
5. Our students participated in PYKKA Sports Competition at District level in which Sudha Kant Dubey of Class-IX won a Gold medal in 100 meters event and a Silver medal in Long Jump event. Saurabh Singh of Class-IX won a Gold medal in wrestling. They both qualified for the state Athletic meet.
The school has implemented CCE very effectively. Many co-curricular and sports activities are organized in the school as it has become an integral part of the curriculum. You are advised to understand the importance of these activities and promote the participation of your ward in various co-curricular and sports activities, which will help him/her in achieving better grades at the end of the academic year.
You are requested to note the new fee structure displayed on the school notice board which will be applicable w.e.f. April, 2013.
I extend my heartfelt gratitude to Mr. J.C. Laddha, CEO, Mr. C.K. Datta, COO, Mr. Aloke Ranjan, AVP (HR) and to all the other members of the Local Management Committee for understanding the needs of the school and always extending help as and when required. I also thank Dr. S. Ganguli, Director Education for always extending his support and instilling confidence in us by appreciating the system prevailing in the school. I also thank all the staff members of ABPS, Jagdishpur for working to the best of their ability and being a wonderful team.
