Spring ISD Varsity Tournament 2017
Dear Coaches,
One behalf of Spring ISD, we are excited to extend this formal invitation for your team’s participation in this year’s Spring ISD Varsity Tournament 2017. The tournament will be held at Spring High School and Westfield High School on Thursday, August 17th and Saturday, August 19th. A $300 entry fee will be charged to help pay for the cost of the tournament. Please make checks payable to Spring ISD Athletics.

Format: Pool Play will consist of 2 games to 25 (cap at 30), third game to 15 (No Cap) if necessary.
Pool Play Seeding and Ties:
· Overall records during pool play will determine seeding for bracket play on Saturday.
· 2-Way Tie: Head to Head Results; if still tied, total points for and against each team tied in the pool.
· Top 2 teams advance to Gold Bracket at Spring High School. Bottom 2 teams advance to Silver Bracket at Westfield High School on Saturday.
Spring ISD Varsity Tournament 2017
Thursday, August 17th and Saturday, August 19th
Site: Matches will be played at Spring and Westfield High Schools
Format: Matches are best 2 out of 3, rally scoring. Games are to 25 with a 30 point cap, with the exception of the third game which will be played to 15 with no cap.
Warm-up: 4-3-3-1. 4 minute ball handling and captain’s meeting. 3 minutes of net time for each team. 1 minute of shared serving.
Match Times: If we can we will play matches early to the keep the tournament running on time. Please have your team ready to play early if the preceding match ends early.
Official Book: The home team will be on the top of the bracket. Official book keeper will be provided.
Linesmen: Spring and Westfield High Schools will provide linesmen throughout the tournament.
Balls: All balls will be provided by Spring and Westfield High Schools.
Hospitality: A hospitality room will be provided for all coaches, officials, and bus drivers only.
Concessions: The concession stand will be open for athletes and parents.
