Short Bio
Zhipan Liu, Professor in Physical Chemistry, Fudan University since 2005. He did his undergraduate and graduate studies at Shanghai Jiaotong University (1993-2000) and got the Ph.D at Queen’s University of Belfast (U.K.)(2000-2003). In 2003-2005 he worked with Professor David King at University of Cambridge (U.K.) as Post-doctoral associate (2003-2005). His major research interests are on developing and applying novel theoretical methods to understand and predict chemical reactions on surfaces and interfaces. He has been awarded a number of prestigious awards, including IUPAC Prize for Young Chemists (2004), National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars (2009), Changjiang Scholar of Ministry of Education (2013). More than 110 scientific papers published since 2001, including 23 papers in J. Am. Chem. Soc, 5 papers in Phys. Rev. Lett., 1 in Angew. Chem. The published papers have been cited over 5400 times with h-index 38. He is an editorial board member for journals, Chemical Physics Letters, Journal of Chemical Physics, and is appointed as Senior Editor for Journal of Physical Chemistry A/B/C in 2017.
