Franki, Hector Oswald

Britten

Brother of Old Boy Dr. Noel. School Register records him as serving in the Great War. This would have been as a ship’s officer in the Merchant Marine.

Future researchers might find it a useful lead to note the connection with J.P. Franki; his father. Who was for many years at the senior management level of the important Sydney industrial enterprise, Mort’s Dock. School records do not include his name “Oswald.”

LATE DR. NOEL FRANKI.

The funeral of the late Dr. Noel Halford Franki took place on Saturday. The cortege moved from his late residence, Belmore- road, Coogee, and proceeded to the South Head Cemetery, where the interment took place. There was a large assemblage. The chief mourners were Mr. J. P. Franki (manager of Mort's Dock), father; Messrs. R. J. N. Franki, Captain Hector Franki, and Eric Franki (brothers); Walter L'Estrange, Rupert S. McCoy, and Messrs. Rowntree (two), brothers-in-law.
