  1. How can you show how much you’ve grown since your first year in 4-H in terms of knowledge, complexity or difficulty, time and/or money, worth or value, responsibility, leadership, maturity, judgment or decision making, service to others, relationships with others, recognition, etc?
  1. How can you most clearly and concisely express this growth to someone who

Knows little about you or the activities you’ve been involved in? Remember that the people who read your form may not be familiar with 4-H. Will they understand your terminology or the significance of places or events? If not, how can you concisely explain this?

  1. How can you convey the most information to the reader while still keeping

your resume easy to read? When should you use paragraphs, phrases, outlines, lists, labels, graphs, etc?

4. Some information may fit in several places. How can you minimize repetition

so you can include as much different information as possible? Are there

some places where you feel it is appropriate to do some repeating.

5. How can you best use the sections of the resume to complement each

other? How should they be different? Where will be the best place to give

lots of facts and figures? Where will be the best place to tell about how you feel about what you’ve done, difference it has made in you, your family, your community?

6. Have someone other than your self proof read your application and resume. An
excellent resource could be your English teacher.
