1.  Introduction

After the welcoming message and the round of introduction, all represented agencies were praised for making all the efforts to attend this meeting.

2.  Matters arising from previous minutes of meeting:

·  The merge the CCCM and ES/NFI sectors was approved by the Humanitarian Coordination forum.

·  The Joint Government and HCT Needs Assessment for Return Areas’ final protocol has been finalised and shared with partners. The Assessment will take place between the 6th and the 10th July, with trainings starting on the 1st.

·  IOM DTM assessed the ward Ngurore, Yola South LGA and the Malkohi village settlement was registered.

3.  Update on the relocation of IDPs from camp Girei II to Malkohi camp.

·  The vast majority of IDPs residing in Girei II camp decided at last minute not to go to Malkohi camp, and chose to leave the camp on their own. Only 27, out of 651 assessed during the relocation planning meeting, finally went to Malkohi camp.

·  IOM reports that the population then split in several groups that went to different locations as: Gombi, Girei, Hong, Yola town, Daware settlement, Taraba state, Saint Theresa Church camp, etc.

·  After the closure of camp Girei II, the need for the decommissioning, repair and rehabilitation of the school was raised.

·  OCHA proposed that and environmental study should be conducted to assess the needed action to implement.

·  SEMA requests to UNICEF and IRC to decommission their tents from the school only if they need them.

Action Points:

ü  IOM will continue tracking the whereabouts of the IDP who left camp Girei II.

ü  OCHA will take the need for an environmental evaluation and decommissioning response to the WASH sector working group the following day, for members to consider this issue. The Education sector working group might also be requested to intervene for the repair and rehabilitation of the school.

4.  Situation update of IDPs evicted from EYN camp.

·  IOM contacted the landlord of one of the lands where evicted IDPs from EYN church camp are residing, and confirmed his acceptance for them to remain there.

·  SEMA tried in vain in several occasions to contact the landlord to meet and talk in depth about his authorisation for Humanitarian actors to respond with shelters and WASH intervention in this land.

Action Points:

ü  IOM will contact the landlord again and setup a meeting with SEMA.

5.  Harmonisation of NFI packages – Technical Advisory group

·  Due to the extension of the meeting, this point was not discussed in depth.

Action Points:

ü  Members share its NFI kits for final harmonisation in the next meeting.

6.  AOB

·  OAXFAM/CISCOPE distributed one 10L and one 20L Jerri cans to 130 Households in the Malkohi village settlement on the 17th June 2015.

·  The IDPs residing in the informal camp Girei I where relocated to Uba, Askira LGA, Borno state by the LGA authorities. They were brought to a Transition centre where they can stay up to 2 weeks.

·  IRC ongoing intervention in Hong, Mubi North, Mubi South, Maiha on WASH, Health, Nutrition, Food supply, ES/NFI to target at least 1,000 Households. 229 food packaged have already been distribuited.

Action Points:

ü  Members are requested to frequently update information in 4W matrix.

7.  Next meeting

The next ESNFI sector meeting will be held on 7 July June 2015 at 10.00 am, Venue SEMA, Office 320, 2nd floor at the director’s office for RR&R.
