Actuarial Science Club Newsletter
Third Issue
Hi everyone,
I’m Nicole Stewart, and I’m the new secretary for the Actuarial Science Club. I hope that all of your finals went well! This will be the last newsletter for this semester; The next issue will be out at the end of August/early September. Keep an eye out for it, as it will keep you posted on very important upcoming events (like the resume writing workshop and career fair).

A Message from the President
As your president, I plan to work closely with my fellow ActSci Club members to promote an extracurricular experience that will be both fun and rewarding. I plan on increasing career development opportunities by organizing recruitment events throughout the year with major companies in the field. I also plan on setting up an abundance of exam prep sessions

for purposes of increasing comprehension of exam material and to provide a cooperative studying environment for all club members. In addition to career advancement events, I also recognize the importance of hosting social events for purposes of interaction, networking - and just plain fun! Finally, I plan to be an ambassador to all potential actuarial science majors, and will encourage all members of the ActSci club to aid any prospective students who would like to join our ranks.
As president, I look forward to the opportunity to work with the members of the ActSci Club in achieving an environment of professional development and social involvement.

In case you didn’t know, there is a new position in the club – called Alumni Liaison – that keeps alumni in contact with the Actuarial Science Program at PSU.
