Purpose of job

To provide a range of meaningful social activities to support the residents of Tate House.

Main tasks

  1. Provide and organise a range of social activities for service users.
  1. Transport and accompany service users to activities outside of the home.
  1. Follow agreed standards and procedures as determined by the RNIB, CQC and other agencies.
  1. Develop effective relationships with service users, families, volunteers and colleagues.
  1. Complete daily worksheets, monthly reports and the activities survey six monthly and any other records necessary.
  1. Supervise volunteers whilst they are completing activities and take responsibility in organising volunteer meetings.
  1. To take the lead in organising summer and Christmas fairs and actively involved in other such activities.
  1. Be involved in recruiting new volunteers.
  1. Provide supervision and appraisal for activity assistant and others if required.
